A Day in My Life

A Day in My Life

May 1st Illinois mandates that everybody in Illinois has to wear a mask in public. So today I went to the bank to pay all my bills. I put on my mask and walk up to the bank. The bank is locked. I get in my car and use the drive up. I get my money and go to the post office. It’s a good thing that Target made me buy some masks because one guy tried to walk in without a mask and they would not let him in. As soon as I got in the car I took off my mask. I don’t know how it happened but somehow my hearing aid got caught up in my mask and I lost it. I retraced my steps and after about 20 minutes thank god I found it. I would surely hate to lose that. I hate those masks. I can’t breathe in those things.

My dealer emails me today and asked if I was still looking for a car. Since it is the beginning of May, I asked him if they had any new incentives this month. He said, “Looks like rebates are still the same. How is the down payment looking?”  I told him, “I got my down payment up to $1,500.” His reply was “Okay, I think the best thing to wait until payments are up that way we aren't rolling anything over.” So I guess I’ll see what happens going into June.

With the Corona virus “Stay at Home Order”, I have to get my exercise. After I got through doing my bills, I did my exercises. I live in a 5 story condo building. I walk down each hallway and then go up to the next floor until I reach the 5th floor and then repeat it all the way down again. I do this 6 days out of a week. I sure wish everything would open up again so I could get back to my Community Recreation Center where they have all the machines and I can be with people once again. Man am I getting fat. I have been eating too much.

This is Insane

This is how dead it is here in Illinois. I stopped at Woodfield in Schaumburg and took this picture today. Then on the way back every other shopping center that I passed was completely empty. All the car dealers were all closed. It was like we got nuked. No People, no cars. It reminded me of a horror movie I saw when I was a kid.

I can’t stand this anymore. Gov. J.B. Pritzke of Illinois announced plans to extend a statewide stay-at-home order for another month through May 30.  Gov. Pritzke’s Stay-at-Home Order Includes a Requirement to Cover Faces in Public in May. The mandate is part of an amended statewide stay-at-home order, which now extends through May.

  This is insane!!!

Google Time Line and My Cell Phone

Google Time Line and My Cell Phone

I got this thing on my computer where it keeps track of every place I have ever been. What time and day I have been there and the route I took to get there. It’s creepy. It reminds me of George Orwell’s 1984 Movie “Big Brother is Watching You” I guess my cell phone keeps track of me and then sends me an email telling me where I have been. I don’t like this at all.

Last year I was driving home all by myself from the casino. Every time I get in my car my cell phone turns on all by its self. I had it in my top pocket and it was starting to burn my chest. So I tried to get it out of my pocket as I was driving along. I was having trouble getting it out. I got frustrated and said out loud to myself, “What the Fuck?” All of a sudden this girl’s voice came on over my car speakers and said, “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way.” “Who are you,” I said. There was no answer. Where the hell did that come from? Now I wonder if Big Brother or whoever is listening to everything I say.

So What is There to Do in Heaven for all Eternity?

So What is There to Do in Heaven for all Eternity?

I’ve been cooped up in this apartment for two weeks now ever since this corona virus pandemic has been going around and I have been thinking about things. I shouldn’t think this way but I’m 75 now and most of my life has passed me by. Anyway I wondered what it’s going to be like when I am dead. Is there a Heaven? I don’t know. Everybody from the time I was born always said there was but how do they know. Let’s just say there is. So you go to heaven for all eternity. Now what am I suppose to do with myself in Heaven for all eternity? I have been cooped up in this apartment for two weeks now and it’s driving me nuts. I can’t imagine being stuck in my apartment forever. If there is a Heaven there better be something for me to do for all eternity. Yes I’ll be able to see my Mom and Dad and the rest of the family, I HOPE but then what?

I love photography and playing craps at the casino but we are talking all eternity here. I would surely get bored doing that after a while. So my question still remains, “What is there to do in Heaven for All Eternity?”

The second possibility is that there is nothing. There was nothing before I was born so why would there be anything afterwards? I remember when I had a heart attack. I was 49 at the time. I had to have open heart surgery. Just before I went into the operating room, I laid there on the gurney with tubes going into me. I just knew I wasn’t going to make it. “I wonder what it’s going to be like being dead,” I said to myself laying there. I was calm about the thought of not coming out of this alive. Maybe it was all the tranquilizer medicine that they injected into the tubing that ran into my arm. This guy came into the room and said, “I am going to put you to sleep now.” He injected something into my tubing and that was it. I don’t even remember going out. It happened so fast. The next thing I remember was all these doctors and nurses surrounding me. I had this big hose going down into my throat that was pumping oxygen into my lungs. The doctor started pulling it out slowly. “Can you breathe,” he asked me. “Yes,” I told him. Right then I realized that I wasn’t dead. But I was scared now that I would die all over again. In the beginning I was prepared to die and I was alright with it but now that I had made it through the surgery, I could feel my chest after they had cut it open and I was scared that I would die. I was angry at first. “Why did I have to wake up? I don’t want to go through this dying again,” I thought to myself.

I learned later that they had kept me under for 36 hours. The doctor said I was having some trouble with my blood pressure. From the time they put me under until the time I woke up there was no sense of time going by. They had stopped my heart and my lungs. That’s about as dead as you can get without actually being dead. I didn’t see anybody when I was under. My x-wife asked me that question. There was just nothing at all. So I am thinking that’s probably the way it’s going to feel like when I am dead. I truly hope I am wrong. I have prayed every night since my Mom died when I was 17 and I am looking forward to seeing her again. I sure would love to see my Mom again and wrap my arms around her and hug and kiss her. Then we could hang out together in Heaven. That would be awesome.

Everything seems to be getting worse

WTF, they are taking my car away in June because I have no money and now Illinois Governor Pritzker (D) issues “Stay At Home Order” starting tomorrow (Saturday March 21st 2020.) Everything is shut down except for the grocery stores, Drug stores and the bank. The only good thing to look forward to is a check for $1,200 from the Government, I HOPE. But what comes after that?
