13. George Pataki (Dropped Out)
14. Lindsey Graham (Dropped Out)
15. Bobby Jindal (Dropped Out)
16. Scott Walker (Dropped Out)
17. Rick Perry (Dropped Out)

Those are the Republican candidates for President in 2016. That's a lot.

I am still undecided. I really don't find any of them that interest me. But I have crossed a few off my list.

Trump, I can't see him as president. he' too gruff. Oh he wants to be president alright as long as he is on top of the polls.
but that's not going to last and he will end up dropping out. He is entertaining though, I'll give him that much.

Ben Carson, He is a nice enough person but has no experience in governing. It took him his whole life to become a brilliant surgeon. What makes him think that he is qualified to be president? He doesn't have the experience. Just like Obama who never had any experience and look what happen to this country because of him.

Rand Paul, I don't agree with his foreign policies.

So those are the three that I have crossed off my list so far. I have to watch the Debates and maybe someone will stick out in my mind but so far I don't see anybody in the running that I care for.

Schaumburg Township Disability Picnic

The Schaumburg Township Disability Services had their 30th annual picnic today.  The theme this year was Star Wars. Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi were there and would take breaks from their battle if you wanted to have your picture taken with them.

Brookfield Zoo brought out a few animals. The first little guy was this turtle. The girl from the zoo said I could touch his shell. When I did, I don’t think he was so sure about my intentions and his head went into his shell for a second. He reminded me of a turtle I once had when I was 6 years old. One day my cousin came over and after I showed him my turtle he asked me if he could take it home with him for a couple of days. I was dumb enough back then and agreed to let him. A few days went by and when I asked him for my turtle back he said, “Oh, I put him in my pocket and forgot about him. He’s dead.” A lesson learned on loaning things out. Yeah, I still remember that.

The other Zoo girl had a Guinea pig in her hand. It was a cute little thing but it was shedding so much that hair was flying all over. Even though they kept the animals in the shade and sprayed them with a mist of water from time to time, it was still hot out and in the mid 80’s.

Another cool animal was an Owl. Her eyes were so big. The girl got the Owl out of the cage so we could get a better look at her.

It was time to eat and the Chicken fingers, baked beans and potato chips I had were good. They had other things but that’s what I had.

Afterwards they had Ice Cream. It was just what I needed to keep cool, although they did have several big fans blowing into the inside of the tent.

They had Bingo afterwards but I didn’t stay for that.

I want to thank the Schaumburg Township, the Sponsors and all the volunteers who put this on every year.

Meet and Greet with Jeb Bush Jr and Congressman Adam Kinzinger

After the debates on Thursday, I was graciously invited to a Meet and Greet the next day on Friday at Plote Excavating in Hoffman Estates Illinois to meet Jeb Bush Jr and Congressman Adam Kinzinger.

It was a small court yard setting where we listened to Jeb Bush Jr and asked questions. Congressman Adam Kinzinger also stood up and talked. I have always liked the Congressman. The Meet and Greet lasted for a little over an hour and afterwards I had my picture taken with them.

In Thursday's debate, Jeb Bush seemed nervous in the beginning but came back a little when telling about his accomplishments as Governor in Florida.  Jeb Bush needs to have more of a fire and confidence in him when talking. That’s what I saw in Chris Christy… I liked that.

Well I can’t wait until the next debate on Wednesday Sept 16th 2015 on CNN. It will be interesting to see if any of the candidates drop out but I don’t know if that will happen or not. I am still undecided but I have crossed a few of them off my list of Candidates.  Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Rand Paul.

The First Debate

The First Debate Candidates

_______________

US Senator Lindsey Graham (South Carolina)

Former Governor Rick Perry (Texas)

Businesswoman Carly Fiorina (Virginia)

Governor Bobby Jindal (Louisiana)

Former Governor Jim Gilmore (Virginia)

Former Governor George Pataki (New York)

Former US Senator Rick Santorum (Pennsylvania)

I had just upgraded to Windows 10 before the first Debate today. When the Debate came on I started taking notes on each Candidate. All of a sudden my computer had to restart for some reason related to my new Windows 10 so I lost all of my notes.

Out of the all the candidates in the first debate, I liked US Senator Lindsey Graham (South Carolina) the best because of his strong stance on ISIS and Iran. I don't want to send our troops back but if something isn't done, we are going to have a Nuclear Holocaust
in the Middle East.

I only chose two candidates out of the seven. Rick Perry came in second because of the boarder issue. He knew about foreign policy but not like Lindsey Graham does.

Those are my picks for the 1st Debate tonight. I am waiting to see the main Debate in about an hour or two.

The Main Debate

1. Donald Trump
2. Jeb Bush
3. Scott Walker
4. Mike Huckabee
5. Ben Carson
6. Ted Cruz
7. Marco Rubio
8. Rand Paul
9. Chris Christie
10. John Kasich

I know that people like Trump but he is not serious about being president but he is entertaining though. Ben Carson should drop out. He is a surgeon not somebody who can run the nation. I liked Chris Christie and have some favorites from the first debate but I am still undecided on the other candidates. I will just have to wait and watch the other debates and choose from there until I pick out the one person I want to have as our president.

Turning 70

I just turned 70 today. I can't believe the years went by so fast. How much longer can a person live? Well I plan on living to be 100. That is my goal. So it looks like I have another 30 years left to enjoy what life has to offer.

You know the universe began 15 Billion years ago according to the scientist when we had the big bang. And I thought about this; Everything had to go absolutely perfect for me to be on this earth. Any little thing that deviated or went wrong from the beginning of time until I appeared on this earth, what if a speck of cosmic dust went flying off in another direction or what if one of my relatives way back 100,000 years ago had a headache that night and didn't feel like having sex? "I Wouldn't Be Here!" It boggles my mind just thinking about that. It took me 15 Billion years to get here so I'm very thankful to be alive. There must be an awful good reason I'm here. So I want to stay here as long as possible whether my life is going great or whether everything seems to be falling down around me. I can't even imagine not ever having been born. I love Life .
